Dear all,

We would like to express our heartfelt condolences and regrets for people who were killed or injured in the Manila hostage incident and their families. We share in the grief over the loss of lives in the tragedy.

As media coverage of such traumatic event is exhaustive, there is a range of emotional reactions that are normal following such exposure, including feelings of fear, anger, guilt, sadness, shock and numbness. These responses will most often subside over time within a few weeks.

If you needed further advices or support, please call the following hotline set up by the Critical Incident Team, Division of Clinical Psychology, Hong Kong Psychological Society and the Hong Kong Red Cross for further information:
Hotline: 2507 7750
Operation hours: 10:30am to 10:00pm (24-28 August 2010)

Regards,
